is a rare Limited Edition Folkstone.
Etheral is also known as "the Blue Angel"
because in 1996 Boyds released an angel
that is from the same mould, but is
painted differently. |

Etheral was a "G. M.'s Choice" Limited
Edition, with hand painting in deeper
shades rather than pastel colors. At
this time, owner Gary Lowenthal might
selectively choose a figurine to paint
differently, but there was no routine to
this selection. |

7200 pieces were made of this angel. |

However, the Etheral Angel we have here is
the prototype, or sample figure, that was
displayed in the Boyds Showroom at the
Atlanta Mart. This Showroom is where
the store dealers go to see new items and
place orders. The hand painting on
all of the prototypes is exceptional, as
the prototypes were produced with extra
care - this angel is superbly painted. |

Because this figurine is not from regular
production, there is no printing on the
bottom. It only has the label that
gives its stock number. |
