DeBrekht Master Artisans in the studios in the ancient art

| Derevo
is the Russian word for wood, & each piece in the Derevo Collection is
first hand carved & hand painted freehand, using authentic
old-world techniques. |

Then a mould is made from the wooden carving & a special
wood-based resin material is used to exactly cast replicas of the
original. Each piece is then painstakingly hand
painted freehand, without guidelines or decals. |
| Many of
the figures are based on the traditional Russian folklore that
has inspired artists, writers, & composers for centuries. The
result of this difficult process is a magnificent collection of
limited edition figures that embody all of the artistic genius
and cultural history of Russian art. |
