glass has many color variations that naturally occur during the
manufacturing process, because of the design and thickness of the
individual pieces. The red-orange effect is of
particular interest to collectors, who call it "amberina". |
| "Stretch
Glass" refers to a particular kind of iridescent glassware.
Several additional processes create the distinctive look of stretch
glass. The edges may feel somewhat rough, & other areas often
display a splendid matte iridescence that reflects the tradition of
true art glass. |
