Blue Burmese was created & first offered by Fenton Glass in 1999. This heat-sensitive glass contains a mixture of pure gold & a tiny bit of cobalt oxide to achieve its delicate appearance.

A very popular glass, Blue Burmese is offered only in limited editions.

This rare Blue Burmese Horse/ Foal was a special offering in early Spring 2009 to a few dealers.

He is hand signed on the back by Scott Fenton.

Blue Burmese contains real gold in the formula & when re-heated the gold appears as a pink blush in the glass. The pink blush is light on the figure.

Made with pure gold, Fenton Blue Burmese glass is always a delight to behold ... but delight is doubled when a piece is done by cameo artist Kelsey Murphy.

This gorgeous Blue Burmese Pitcher features a 1920s style lady picking grapes from a grape vine that continues all around the top of the pitcher.

The sand-carved design is three-dimensional and is mostly light pink. Pink blush also appears in the graceful top of the pitcher, and around the base.

Blue Burmese Atlantis Vase

This 2007 decorated Atlantis vase is hand crafted in shiny-finished Blue Burmese glass.

The large fish have been air-brushed in pastel colors and the coloration is different on either side of the vase. The pink color along the top edge is part of the Blue Burmese coloration; it is not painted.

The Atlantis vase mould was designed by Robert May for the Duncan & Miller Glass Company & was later acquired by U. S. Glass in 1955. Fenton bought the mould from U. S. Glass in 1969. They have used the mould for different glass colors since then.

It will come in the original Fenton box.
