"Manuscript Floral" |
| Favrene
Amphora on Brass Stand |
| Nancy Fenton Signature |
| |
| Size: 14.5 inches high |
| Nancy's favorite
glass color is Favrene, and her favorite vase shape is the
amphora. At the inception of the Centennial
Collection she staked her claim! |
| The result is a
spectacular piece that bears a Frances Burton vining floral
motif adapted from an image of a 16th century etched antique
pitcher. |
| Favrene glass is
made with silver that is coaxed to the surface in a special
reheating process. When sprayed with metallic
salts, it develops a silvery-blue satin luster. |
| Each vase
will be numbered and inscribed with the Fenton Centennial
Collection logo, as well as the signature of Nancy Fenton. |

Whimsical Elephant |
|
Tom Fenton Signature |
| |
| Size:
5.5 inches high |
| Tom Fenton
has worked closely with Dave Fetty & his team of skilled
glassworkers for many years. To showcase the talents of Dave
and some of our artisans, Tom has selected a whimsical off hand
elephant. |
| This
handsome animal is formed from a gather of Milk Glass rolled in
Cobalt Blue frit before being covered with a layer of Crystal glass. |
| Black glass
threads are then applied & pulled to create a feathered effect.
A black glass trunk & head are hand-shaped with special tools. |
| The
finishing touch is the application of two lime green eyes & a slight
pinch to replicate the elephant's tiny tail. |
