Favrene, made only by Fenton Glass,  is an elegant color featuring a shimmer of silver tones, because pure silver is used in the making.
First developed by L. C. Tiffany as Blue Favrile, this beautiful & rare color requires many steps in production to achieve this outstanding tone.

This vase is in response to many requests to offer a companion to the Spring & Autumn Favrene Vase that was offered in 1998.
Fenton Glass acquired the two Seasons moulds in the 1960s.
These designs were first made by the Verlys of America Company to replicate the appeal of fine French glass with deeply embossed designs.

Favrene Amphora on Brass Stand
Nancy Fenton Signature
 
Nancy's favorite glass color is Favrene, and her favorite vase shape is the amphora.   At the inception of the Centennial Collection she staked her claim!
The result is a spectacular piece that bears a Frances Burton vining floral motif adapted from an image of a 16th century etched antique pitcher.
Favrene glass is made with silver that is coaxed to the surface in a special reheating process.   When sprayed with metallic salts, it develops a silvery-blue satin luster.
Each vase will be numbered and inscribed with the Fenton Centennial Collection logo, as well as the signature of Nancy Fenton.

This luxurious Favrene vase is hand created with a heat sensitive glass that is made with pure silver.  It goes thru several reheating processes to develop its lovely blue sheen.
Favrene is one of Fenton's most exclusive and desirable colors.
The mould for this delicate vase originated from the Imperial Glass Company around 1910.
The unique Loganberry design comes to life when mouth blown by the skilled Fenton glassworkers.
