Footed Bowl
Ruby Red Stretch

Size:  8-1/4" diameter
All the fire of Fenton's furnaces is captured in this vivid red glass, reminiscent of their initial production in the 1920s.
"Stretch Glass" refers to a particular kind of iridescent glassware.  Several additional processes create the distinctive look of stretch glass.  The edges may feel somewhat rough, & other areas often display a splendid matte iridescence that reflects the tradition of true art glass.

Swung Empress Vase
Ruby Amberina Stretch

Size:  6" to 7" high
Ruby Amberina Stretch Glass is a particularly exciting group of glass, similar to a color from the 1920s.      Many of the shapes presented reflect the Art Deco designs of that time.
Ruby Red glass has many color variations that naturally occur during the manufacturing process, because of the design and thickness of the individual pieces.   The red-orange effect is of particular interest to collectors, who call  it "amberina".
